BIOGRAPHY

After graduating with a BFA from Concordia University in Montreal, Tracy spent many years as an illustrator for books and magazines, and also as a fabric designer. Living in many places including Toronto, Nova Scotia, France and Texas, Tracy has traveled the world with sketchbook in hand. She also worked as a docent and art educator at the McNay Museum in San Antonio, TX.
In 2014, on a workshop in Provence, France, a new challenge was discovered: Plein air oil landscape painting.This kind of oil painting is done on site, and must be completed within 2 hours, as the light will change. One must capture the essence of a moment in time, and keep it fresh.
The challenge continues in Northern Virginia, where the artist currently resides.
